HOW DOES SNIPR WORK?
CAMERA. LIGHTS. ACTION
Unique License Plate Recognition Software System.
Technology can be confusing. Our aim is to make things easier for you.
Let’s run through a scenario in your precinct.
THIS IS SNIPR:
Incident
A vehicle is stolen, or in any way suspicious, meaning the number plate is recorded in our system as being of interest to Law Enforcement.
2. Reported
This is reported to our 24 Hour Call Centre 031 035 0218, or through our many partnerships with Law Enforcement and SAPS, we are alerted to flag the vehicle.
3. Database
Information is loaded on Sought Vehicle Databases both locally and globally. This syncs with our Database ensuring we have consistently updated and correct information to work with.
4. Camera!
The stolen vehicle is driven past one of our SNIPR Cameras. The number plate is photographed, decrypted and analysed. This is then sent through to our Call Centre.
5.Hotlist
The plate is checked against the hotlists. Any plates connected to vehicles that are reported as missing, stolen, cloned or suspicious (in any way flagged)
6. Notify
A notification of this incident in your precinct is sent to you for visual verification
7. Lights!
Simultaneously, on-the-ground forces, like the relevant CPF’s, Law enforcement, and Security Companies are informed.
8. Action!
Teams that mobilise based on our information can recover stolen vehicles, as well as apprehend drivers. Effectively preventing them from participating in future crime.
THE BOTTOM LINE?
Our cameras are not just installed in your community to capture images. Surveillance Cameras for camera’s sake are at best a deterrent, and at worst, a false sense of security.
Our unique and widespread system is linked to multiple national databases, including South African Law Enforcement. We track and monitor vehicles 24-7, flagging suspicious vehicles as they enter your precinct, and alerting the relevant authorities.
We have made it our business to secure communities through virtual 24-7 Patrol systems.
Virtual Eyes on the ground for when Patrollers are not around.
